Change is a’Comin’

Here (an East Tennessee 10 acre farm, mid-70s), there was no indoor toilet for nearly a year and limited bathing facilities, no insulation in the attic or walls with only an oil furnace for the cold Tennessee winters, and an outdoor wringer washer with no access to hot water...

A Diamond of the First Water

I have never been fond of diamonds. I enjoy color. Give me sapphires, emeralds, opals, and rubies! These gems make my eyes light up. My second marriage produced a husband determined to put a diamond on my hand. I acquiesced, though my heart wasn't in it. I chose a ring where the engagement and wedding bands intertwined with a small diamond in the center and four tiny diamonds placed above and below the twisting gold.

Grounding

So much of our lives are lived in our heads these days. We forget that we have a body that has feelings and needs. It is easy to have our minds far away as we are going about our day-to-day activities. We forget where we are or why we walked into a room. We miss-step or bump into things. Sometimes we even blurt out inappropriate words in response to what is happening. All these items can be a symptom of not being grounded. Our mind and body are not working together.

Checking Your Intution

We all have intuition. Not all of us know how to use it. The phrases Gut Feeling, having a Hunch, my Spidey-Senses are Tingling, and Something smells Fishy are indications of that inner knowing that is occasionally felt.
